*Obituary

Ernie D Carr Davis was born on August 10, 1926 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Robert and Doris Carr. After graduating LSU as a Medical Technician, she married Dick Davis where they began their life together in Caracas, Venezuela and then later settled down in a wonderful family neighborhood in Houston, Texas where they lived for 55 years. Ernie D was a caring and loving mother of her two children, Bill and Lelia, an active member of her church, a life-long member of PEO and an inspiration to everyone she met. Ernie D departed this life on March 26, 2015 at the age of 88. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick and her daughter, Lelia. She was survived by her son, Bill, and his wife, Rose; her grandchildren, Krystie, Melissa and her husband Brad, and Matt and his fiancé Christie; her great-grandchildren Alex, Madison, and Avery; along with numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces. Services are planned for Friday, April 3 at Ted Dickey West Funeral Home in Dallas starting at 1:00 p.m. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to St. John’s United Presbyterian Church, 5020 W. Belfort Ave., Houston, TX 77096.

“William R. Davis, Jr. passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2011. He is survived by his wife Ernie D Davis, two children, three grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Memorial Services and reception will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday, June 25th at St John’s Presbyterian Church, 5020 West Bellfort Ave., Houston, Texas 77096. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St John’s Presbyterian Church.”
