*Obituary for Gerhard
G. A. Gohlke, 56, 1237 May Lane, Bartlesville, Okla., died at 8 a.m. this morning in St. Joseph's Hospital, Salina, Kans.

A native of Neshkoro, Wis., Mr. Gohlke was a chemical engineer with Phillips Petroleum Co. at Borger, 22 years before being transferred to Bartlesville.

He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Bartlesville.

While living in this area, he was a member of the Phillips Lions Club and the Phillips school board.

He is survived by his wife, Jean; a son, Robert, Houston; three daughters, Mrs. Donna Dixon, Atlanta, Ga., Mrs. Carol Whitfield, Midland and Mrs. Marsha Barnes, Corpus Christi; four brothers, two sister and two grandchildren.

Borger services are pending with Ed Brown and Sons Funeral Directors.

Wilma "Jean" Gohlke, 86, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, went to her heavenly home on July 23, 2010. Services were held July 26 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Broken Arrow. A private family graveside service was held at Westlawn Memorial Park, Borger, Texas.

Jean was born January 20, 1924, on a farm near Grainfield, Kansas, to Jim and Edna Call Gillespie. She graduated from Grainfield High School and Topeka Business College. In 1946 in Neshkoro, Wisconsin, she married Gary Gohlke, a chemical engineer with Phillips Petroleum. They had four children. During her life she resided in Bartlesville, Oklahoma; Phillips, Texas; Middlesbrough, England; and Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

She was active in Trinity Lutheran Church, Borger, Texas from 1952 to 1995. In 1995 she relocated to Broken Arrow and joined Trinity Lutheran Church. She was active in Broken Arrow Newcomers and volunteered with Broken Arrow Neighbors.

Jean is survived by three daughters: Donna Dixon and husband Mike of Highland Village, Texas; Carol Whitfield and husband Lonnie of Houston, Texas; Marsha Barnes and husband Vernon of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and daughter-in-law Kelli Gohlke of Houston, Texas. She is survived by ten grandchildren: Natalie Dixon Drake and husband David of Highland Village, Texas; Curtis Dixon and wife Cari of Keller, Texas, Chad Dixon of Washington, D.C.; Jill Whitfield of Ft. Collins, Colorado; Julie Whitfield of Houston, Texas; Todd Barnes of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Scott Barnes and wife Jenni of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Elizabeth Barnes of Norman, Oklahoma; Garrett Gohlke of Houston, Texas, and Grant Gohlke of Houston. Four great grandchildren survive her.

She was preceded in death by her husband Gary Gohlke in 1979 and son Dr. Robert Gohlke in 2009. Memorial gifts may be made to the American Heart Association or Broken Arrow Neighbors, 322 West Broadway Avenue, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma 74012.
