August 1, 1943 - July 20, 2017

Robert "Bob" Rutledge Gould III, 73, of Borger died on Thursday, July 20th 2017 in Amarillo.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 25th, 2017 at the Minton Memorial Chapel with Pastor Tim Hall of Grace Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Peace at Westlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Family will be at 110 Pinehurst St. in Borger. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Bob was born August 1st, 1943 to his parents, Robert Rutledge Gould, Jr. and Dorothy May Chevalier in Trenton, New Jersey. He married Carol Lee Hulinek on May 13th, 1972. The Goulds moved to Borger in 1985 where Robert worked as an engineer for Phillips 66. He retired from Phillips in 1998 and spent the following years as a part time school teacher, tutor, and traveler.

Bob epitomized the beauty and science of engineering, was a passionate Mason, marathon runner, loved teaching and reading, and was a dedicated husband and father with unwavering values and ethics.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife Carol; son Robert R. Gould and wife Eva of Germany; daughter Andrea M. Gould and husband Mike of Denver, Colorado; brother Charles C. Gould and wife Diane of Pensacola, Florida; four grandchildren Emily and Quinn Gould, Jessica and Michael Trowbridge; one great-granddaughter Deina Satterwhite; cousins Ken and Shirley Gould of Florida, Doug Gould, and his Uncle Frank Gould of Florida.
