Obituary
Graveside services for Ruperto Cavazos, Jr., age 68 of Seminole, Texas will be held Friday, January 22, 2021 at Gaines County Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. with Father Jose de Dios Gonzalez officiating. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.
Mr. Cavazos was born on December 5, 1952 in Sebastian, Texas to Ofelia (Torres) and Ruperto Cavazos. He married Nelley Ramos on December 5, 1970 in Seminole. He was a Catholic and worked in the oilfield. Ruperto was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed going to the casino, hunting, fishing, old trucks and his corvette. He was known for his fried chicken and barbeque and was always joking. He also loved spoiling his grandchildren and he was a dedicated friend.
Ruperto Cavazos, Jr. passed away Monday, January 18, 2021 at his home in Seminole. He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister. He is survived by his wife, Nelley Cavazos of Seminole; two sons, Armando Cavazos and wife Lori and Eddie Cavazos and wife Felina, both of Seminole; one daughter, Cathy Hallum and husband Chad of Seminole; two sisters, Lupie Gomez and husband Eddie and Lucila Cavazos, both of Seminole; and 10 grandchildren.
