Obituary
Graveside services for Andrea Villalva, age 92 of Seminole, Texas will be held Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Gaines County Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. with Father Jose de Dios Gonzalez officiating. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.
Mrs. Villalva was born April 27, 1928 in Terlingua, Texas to Mauricia (Martinez) and Juan Urquietta. She married Trinidad Villalva in 1951 in Plainview, Texas, and she was a devoted Catholic. Andrea worked at Seminole Memorial Hospital as a dietician, retiring after 16 years. She was dedicated to her church and served as a Guadalupana; she also sang in the choir. In her spare time she enjoyed cooking, crocheting, doing crafts together with her friends, and home décor. She hosted and attended many Stanley and Tupperware parties. She also always took care of her appearance and she believed in looking neat and proper. She used to write a newspaper in Spanish, and always loved to dance in her younger years.
Andrea Villalva passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Friday, January 15, 2021. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1994, one son, one daughter, two brothers, and one sister. She is survived by four sons, Hector Balderama of Fort Stockton, Texas, Bill Rodriguez and wife Sylvia of Seminole, Oswaldo Villalva of Austin, Texas, and Jim Villalva and wife Vicky of California; three daughters, Angie Aguilar and husband Carlos of Fort Stockton, Hilda Garza and husband Jesse of Seminole, and Nelda K. Villalva of Seminole; four sisters, Maria Molinar of Odessa, Texas, Delores Rivera of Seminole, and Hortencia Cordova and Catalina Bermudez, both of Alpine, Texas; 18 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.
