Becky Stephens, beloved disciple of Jesus Christ, wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and light to all who knew her died September 15, 2005, after a courageous battle with breast cancer.
Becky was born August 26, 1961, in Dallas, Texas.
She is survived by her husband, Tripp, daughter Katie and son Drew; parents, Dr. and Mrs. Ted Boone, brother Dr. Tim Boone and wife, Angela of Sugarland, brother Dr. Keith Boone and wife, Dianne of Rockwall, and brother Carl Boone and wife, Gina of Rockwall, several nieces and nephews and a loving extended family.
Becky was an active member of University Park United Methodist Church. She attended Bishop Dunne High School and graduated from Southern Methodist University in 1983 with a degree in Business. She was employed by the Hyatt and Crescent hotels. Becky loved music and was an accomplished pianist. She spent countless hours glorifying God and gracing those around her with her talent. Her love of life, gentle spirit and gracious nature made her a friend to all, and her determination, strength, and positive attitude during her illness were an inspiration to all. She will be dearly missed by those who were blessed to know her.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 18, 2005 from 6-8 p.m. at Sparkman-Hillcrest Funeral Home. A celebration of Becky's life will be held Monday, September 19, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at University Park United Methodist Church. A reception will follow at the church. Memorials may be made to University Park United Methodist Church music department or the Susan G. Komen Foundation. "For this God is our God for ever and ever: He will be our guide even unto death."
