Bobby Grove
July 31, 1930 - February 5, 2017

Bob "B.J." Grove of Borger passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Pampa Regional Medical Center.

He was born July 31, 1930 in Yellville, Arkansas to George Lee Grove, Jr. and Lura Margaret (James) Grove. He married Merle Deen Hutson on May 13, 1954 in Pineville, Arkansas.

He and Merle were charter members of Keeler Baptist Church. He served proudly in the Korean War as a Staff Sergeant. He was also a lifetime member of Local 351,and held many officer positions including Past President. B.J. was a 65 year member of Unity Masonic #1242, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of Borger. He was also a 50 year member of Borger York Rite Lodge and a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason.

B.J. loved collecting coins, guns, stamps and was called, in his younger years, "Crow" because he would pick up anything shiny. He played solitaire on the computer, fished and hunted. The greatest joy of his life was being with his grandchildren. He coordinated a fundraiser for a child so that child could travel to the Shriners Burn Center in Galveston.

B.J. was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include: his loving wife, Merle; 2 daughters: Phyllis Heston and husband Randy of Stinnett and Kelly Gibson and husband John of Houston; a sister, Carole Spencer and husband James of Heber Springs, Arkansas; 3 grandchildren: Nicole Gibson and Brittany J. Gibson of Houston and Madison Heston of New York.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 10, 2017 at 11:00 am at Keeler Baptist Church, Borger. Burial will follow at Westlawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains on Thursday, February 9 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm.

Services are entrusted to Brown Funeral Directors, Borger.

Merle Grove

Merle Deen Grove passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018 in Borger.

She was born August 4, 1932 in Pineville, Arkansas to Zearl and Erise (Drown) Hutson. Bobby and Merle Deen (Hutson) were married on May 13, 1954 at Pineville, Arkansas. Bobby passed in 2017.

She lived in Borger since 1954 and was a longtime member of Keeler Baptist Church, Borger. She loved to sing and participated in many Contadas. For many years, she worked at Dr. Dill's Veterinarian Clinic where she was an animal groomer.

Preceding her in death was the "love of her life", her husband, Bobby; a brother Cecil Hutson and her parents.

Her survivors include: 2 daughters, Phyllis Heston and husband Randy of Stinnett and Kelly Gipson and husband John W. of LaRue, Texas; a sister Mondalyn McCormack of Calico Rock, Arkansas; a brother James Hutson of Little Rock, Arkansas; 3 granddaughters: Nicole Gipson of Houston, Texas; Brittany Gipson and Madison Heston of New York, New York.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 13, 2018 at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains. Burial will follow at Westlawn Cemetery, Borger.

Services are entrusted to Brown Funeral Directors, Borger.
