Earl Thomas Gurley, 80, of Borger died Wednesday.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the First Christian Church with the Rev. Robert Smith, pastor, officiating.
A native of Thomas, Okla., he had been a Borger resident for 45 years. He was a retired operator for Phillips Petroleum Company. He was a member of the First Christian Church.
He married Opal Pauline Rose Sept. 28, 1929 in Hobart, Okla.
Survivors include his wife of the home; one son, Roy Gurley of Borger; two brothers, John Gurley of Clinton, Okla.; and R.E. Gurley of Bartlesville, Okla.; two sisters, Chelsea McKenzie of Littleton, Colo.; Sylvia Danford of Denver, Colo; two granddaughters, Lori and Leigh Ann Gurley, both of Borger.
The family will be staying at 2005 Hemlock.
Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Opal Pauline Gurley, 89, Borger, died Tuesday, July 16, 1996 at St. Ann's Nursing Home in Panhandle.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church with the Rev. Tom Harrison, pastor, and the Rev. David Jones, officiating.
Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mrs. Gurley was born in Los Angeles, Calif., and had been a Borger resident for 53 years. She was a homemaker and member of First Christian Church of Borger. She was a Sunday School Superintendent for many years, and was also a nursery attendant for 30 years for the church.
She was a member of Magic Plains Extension Service Club, and a Tupperware dealer for many years.
She married Earl T. Gurley on Sept. 28, 1929 in Hobart, Okla. He preceded her in death in 1989.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Roy and Judy Gurley of Borger; three sisters, Mary Hash of Edmond, Okla.; Edith Phillips of Soper, Okla.; and Ina Belle Edwards of Virginia Beach, Va.; two granddaughters, Lorie Davenport of Atlanta, Ga.; and Leigh Ann Griffin of Hereford; and a great-granddaughter, Lindsey Griffin of Hereford.
Memorials may be made to Sancta Maria Convent, Box 906, Panhandle, Texas, 79068.
