December 4, 1935 - April 27, 2016

Roy Haley, 80, died April 27, 2016 in Amarillo. Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Westlawn Memorial Park with Harry Stegall officiating. The family will receive friends at Minton Chatwell Funeral Home in Borger from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday evening.

Roy was a lifetime resident of Borger being born here December 4, 1935 to Herbert Roy Haley and Juanita J. Arendall Haley. He was a member of the Stinnett Church of Christ. Roy worked as a Pumper for J. M. Huber Corp. He loved to play golf and other sports, he was a storyteller and volunteered his talent as a volunteer at the Hutchinson County Historical Museum. He and Joy were both volunteers at Helping Hands. Roy married Joy Dickinson July 30 1951 in Borger.

He was preceded in death by his parents and in laws Callie and Joe Dickinson.

Roy is survived by his wife of 64 years Joy, his son Chris Haley of Amarillo, his daughter Lari Thompson and her husband Tom of Amarillo, his brother Pat Haley of Borger, his sister Brenda Barringer of Borger, 3 Granddaughters Charity Bundren, Harmony Morris and Lindsey Pecrul and 6 Great Grandchildren.
