Ruth Dorman Daniel was born November 26,1920, in Newton, Texas. She graduated as class valedictorian from Newton High School in Newton, Texas. Ruth went on to graduate with a B.S. from Mary Hardin Baylor University where she was selected for Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities. She was a member of numerous organizations including D.A.C Country Club, Junior League of Dallas, Junior League Garden Club, Dallas Woman’s Club, Dallas Garden Club, Craig Class and Highland Park Methodist Church.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Chalmers A. “Dan” Daniel. She is survived by her daughter, Pam Armstrong, son-in-law, George N. Armstrong, Jr., son, Douglas R. Daniel and daughter-in-law, Claudia Daniel. She is also survived by grandchildren (and their spouses) Jill Armstrong Barr, Julie Armstrong Stoeffler, Ryan Armstrong, Joshua Daniel, Abi Daniel, Ruth Daniel Smith, Jesse Daniel, and Jonathan Daniel as well as 10 great grandchildren (Olivia Kalinauskas; Aiden and Anzly Stoeffler; Max, Rush and Griff Armstrong; Bailey Daniel and Madison, Titus and Anno Smith).
