MATHIS, Emma Mathis, Emma Ruth, 93, left this earth on Wednesday, May 24, 2017. Ruth was born in Allen, Tx to George & Dora Hinsley, their only child. Ruth was Valedictorian of Westminster High School; where she also played basketball & was a cheerleader. Ruth moved to Dallas, where she met her beloved husband, Charles. They had three children, Charlene Mathis-Yahn, Donna Curlin and Steve Mathis; along to cherish her memories are son-in-law, Jay Curlin; daughter-in-law Susan Mathis; granddaughters, Jennifer Ishmael and Katie Yahn; also 6 great grandchildren. Ruth had a heart of gold and always had a kind word to say about everyone. She was a true & loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers. She loved gardening, cooking wonderful meals and family time. Ruth will be dearly missed by family and friends. Graveside burial services are Saturday, May 27 at 1:00 p.m. at Sparkman Hillcrest Memorial Park, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy Dallas, Tx 75225
