Barbara Merle Hardy
April 16, 1945 - August 14, 2016
Barbara Merle Hardy, 71, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2016 in her home in Fritch.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at First Southern Baptist Church of Fritch with Pastor Justin Unwin officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers her memory may be honored with a gift to a charity of choice.
Barbara was born April 16, 1945 in Borger to Delbert and Lona Austin. She was one of five sisters. On June 1, 1968, she married Bill Hardy.
Barbara was a Christian woman who loved Jesus with all her heart. She always lived life to the fullest and loved spending time with her family and friends. She was an avid golfer and also loved to shop. Barbara never met a stranger. She was always ready to help anyone, anywhere, anytime, anyplace.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Neva Burris.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Hardy; two sons, Heath Hardy and wife Kelly and Drew Hardy and wife Brittany; three sisters, Karol Sue Kinnamon, Rhonda Glover and husband Jack and Jackie Whatley and husband Joe; five grandchildren, Taylor Mackey and husband Kennen, Bailey, Ty, Raegan, and Sage Hardy; one great grandchild, Kalon Mackey.
