HOLINER, Harlan Harlan David Holiner, age 89, passed away peacefully on February 14th. Harlan was born on October 10, 1928 in Oklahoma City, OK. He joined the Navy at age 17 and traveled the world as a radio operator. After his time in the Navy, he attended Oklahoma University, where he graduated with a business degree and met his bride, Ethel. After college, he enlisted as an officer in the Army and served his country in Germany. Harlan worked as a State Farm Claims Superintendent for 37 years, retired, and started a second career repairing computers and printers for Brookhaven College for 16 years. Harlan is survived by his wife and partner of 65 years, Ethel, and his children, Joel Holiner (Wendy), Joan Weyser (Marc), and Sherry Clifton (John), and grandchildren, David and Camille Holiner, Robert and Emily Clifton, and William and Samuel Weyser. Harlan was a devoted husband and father. He adored and was adored by his wife, children and grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Sparkman Hillcrest at 3pm on Sunday, February 18th. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
