Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Phillips & Luckey funeral home, where the body has rested. Services were conducted by the Rev. L. E. Strickland, pastor of the First Baptist church, of which the deceased was a member. Burial was in Oak Lawn cemetery.

Late Tuesday when it became apparent that the young lady's condition was critical, physicians asked that volunteers be secured for a blood transfusion Wednesday morning, but death came before this step could be taken. Those who volunteered to go to Temple to oofer blood were Max Ferrari, Jessie Lee Bankston, Denson Weems, Robert Foster, Summer Foster, Warl Perry, A. H. Lavvorn, and Elmer Salisbury. These men were making preparations to leave for Temple when news of her death reached Rockdale.

She was a member of the girls basketball team and had been captain of one of the high school teams. Her untimely passing is mourned by the entire citizenship of Rockdale.
