JACK WARD DIES AT CONOLEY JAN. 27th
Jack Ward, born Dec. 23, 1885, in Milam county, died at his home in the Conoley community Thursday morning, Jan. 27. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. O. J. Morgan at Pleasant Retreat church Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock, and the body was laid to rest in the Pleasant Retreat cemetery.
Surviving him are his wife, five children, his father and mother, two brothers, one sister, besides other relatives and a host of friends. Rev. Morgan, who conducted the services, had known the deceased for 35 years, having lived in the same community for a period of years, and as boys the two grew up together. Rev. Morgan paid high tribute to his friend.
