F.A. Hatton, 78, Borger, died at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24 in High Plains Baptist Hospital in Amarillo.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Minton Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Bobby R. Treece, pastor of Roy Oaks Baptist Church in Fort Worth, officiating.

Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

A native of Paris, Texas, he had been a Borger resident since 1947. He was an operator for Phillips Petroleum Company for 31 years, and was a Baptist.

He married Mary Ella Whitson March 24, 1939 at Soper, Okla. She died in May 1988.

He was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Hatton in December 1992; parents, Mr. and Mrs. D.E. Hatton; a brother, Horace Hatton; two sisters, Viver Hatton and Edith Hatton.

Survivors include a son, Dave M. Hatton of Borger; a daughter, Mary Ann Woods of Borger; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three nieces.

The family will be staying at 905 Harrington.

Memorials may be made to High Plains Baptist Hospital in Amarillo.

Mary Ella Hatton, 70, 3 Front Street, died Tuesday in Golden Plains Community Hospital.

A homemaker, she was a native of Soper, Oklahoma, and an area resident for 41 years.

She was a Methodist.

She is survived by her husband, F.A. Hatton of the home; two sons, Jerry Hatton and Dave Milton Hatton, both of Phillips; one daughter, Ann Woods of Borger; two brothers, Buck Whitson of Borger, John Whitson of Pampa; one sister, Lucille Lambraux of San Bernadino, Calif., six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Services are pending with Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
