*Obituary
Duward V. Hayter, 68, 1307 Davis, died at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday in Conway County Hospital in Morrilton, Arkansas.
A retired programmer at Philtex, he was a native of Tillman County, Oklahoma, and a Borger resident for 37 years.
He was a veteran of the Navy in WWII and was a member of the First United Methodist Church, worked 25 years with the Boy Scouts of America, Junior High Methodist Youth.
He married the former Wilma Hawkins on November 25, 1947 in Norman, Okla.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma of the home; one daughters, Jean Tucker of Vernon; one son, John V. Hayter of Nacogdoches; three brothers, Delmar Hayter of Lubbock, Dale Hayter of San Angelo, Donald Hayter of Lewiston, Idaho; five grandchildren.
Services are pending with Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors.
