Dorothy Jeane Head
August 11, 1928 - November 9, 2016

Dorothy Jeane Head, 88, died November 9, 2016 in Amarillo. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Minton Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mrs. Head was born August 11, 1928 in Lawton, Oklahoma; she lived in Borger for her lifetime. Jeane married Jim Head September 4, 1942 in Walters, Oklahoma. She loved most of all her grandchildren and great grandchildren especially when they were babies. She married at a young age and was an exceptional Mother and Wife, taking care of the household and raising her four children. She always made sure that not only were they in school but they excelled in their studies.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jim and her brother V. E. Yarbrough.

Jeane is survived by two daughters Marilyn Hopper and her husband Ronney of Borger and Sherrye Lynne Clawson and her husband Randy of Amarillo, her two sons Jimmy Head and his wife Cindy of Borger and Ronny Head and his wife Janet of Amarillo, Eight grandchildren and Seventeen Great Grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 until 7:00 on Friday evening.
