GILLER, DAVID JOSEPH, David Giller, 81, died September 24, 2007 in Dallas. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 30th at the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Ln., Dallas, Tx. Born in Omaha, Nebraska to Nathan and Anna Giller, he was the last surviving child of six older brothers who all relocated to Dallas during David's teenage years. Following his service in WWII, David returned to Dallas and began his work in the tool business, forming the Giller Tool Company, which became a successful supplier of tools for fulfillment of government contracts. David was also active in real estate in Dallas and Henderson, TX. David found great joy and fulfillment in his life as a businessman. True to the meaning of his given name, David was much beloved. He reached out and touched people in a way that made all who knew him feel listened to and cared for. His gentle kindness of spirit and ability to accept individuals without judgement was a gift he gave freely and generously. To his wife of 55 years, he held a deep and abiding love that others felt when in the presence of the two of them together. David Giller is survived and deeply mourned by his loving wife, Faye Giller, his son, Greg Giller, his daughters Debra Giller and Vicki Gottlieb, his son-in-law Bruce Gottlieb and his grandchildren Haley and Hayden Giller and Nathan and Jared Gottlieb. Memorials may be made to the Vogel Alcove, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or a charity of your choice.
