*Obituary
Funeral services for William Clarence Hess, 68, retired Phillips Petroleum Company employee, are scheduled at 2 p.m. Friday from Gardner Street Church of Christ, where he was a member.

Officiating will be the minister, J.R. Chisum, with Jack Southern assisting.

Interment in Westlawn Memorial Park will be directed by Minton Mortuary.

Hess was pronounced dead at 3:50 p.m. Wednesday on arrival at North Plains Hospital. He was a member of Woodmans of America.

Surviving are the widow, Birdie; sons, Leon of 1313 Cooley, and Thurman of Dumas; daughters, Mrs. Lovell Webster of Erick, Okla., Mrs. Janell Norman of Okinawa.

Three brothers, seven sisters, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive.

Casketbearers are Roy Turner, Martin Savage, A.F. Lemons, Ben Powers, Adrian White, Earl H. Rose.

Honorary casketbearers are elders of the church.
