D.E. "Bill" Hinson, 78, of 706 N. Cedar, died Saturday in North Plains Hospital.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Minton Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor of the Bible Baptist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors.

A retired oil field driller, Mr. Hinson was a Borger resident since 1941. He was born Jan. 21, 1901 in Stockton, Mo.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Belle; a son, E.L. "Skinny" of Dumas; a daughter, Mrs. Lee Cahoon of Freeport; two sisters, Mrs. Lelia Allen and Mrs. George Riddle, both of Tulsa, Okla.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Obituary for Mary
JACKSONVILLE - Mary Belle Hinson, 84, Bonner Place, Jacksonville, died Wednesday, November 23, 1988 in Jacksonville.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Friday in Westlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor, Bible Baptist Church, officiating under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

A housewife, she was a native of Colorado Springs, Colo. and a Borger resident for 45 years.

She was a member of the Methodist church and formerly active in the Salvation Army and Grandmothers Club.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Lee Cahoon of Freeport; three granddaughters, Karen Hodges of Jacksonville, Jeffa Hebert of Friendwood and Janet Lewis of Dumas; a grandson, Johnny Hinson of Dumas and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Hinson, April 14, 1979 and son, Everett Hinson in 1986.
