Richard Dennis (Rick) Keese, 60, died suddenly Thursday, July 5, 2007 at his home in Sinton.
He was born March 4, 1947 to Rose (Domijan) and G.W. Keese at Kingman, Arizona.
He graduated from Ingleside High School in 1965, after which he served four years in the United States Air Force.
He received his Bachelor's degree from Texas AandI, Kingsville, and Master's degree in Mid-management from Corpus Christi State University.
Rick married Cynthia Ann Bohlmann on July 19, 1974 in Wakonda, South Dakota. They raised two children, Stacy Leigh and Marty Paul.
He touched many lives during his teaching and coaching career of more than thirty years. As a high school athlete himself, and a member of the 1962 and 1964 Ingleside State Finalist football teams, he was always very proud of all the many accomplishments of the athletes he coached. Some of these accomplishments included state team and individual track and field championships and numerous state football playoffs.
After retiring he had more time to spend on his metal detecting passion, gardening, home improvement projects, and showering his puppies with endless attention.
He will be lovingly missed by his wife, Cindy; daughter, Stacy Keese (Jack Murray) of Austin, Texas; and son, Marty Keese (Meg Gibson) of San Antonio, Texas; brother, Gary (Ellen) Keese of Lawrenceburg, Indiana; two sisters, Judy (Glenn) McDonald; and Patty (Jim) Kucera, both of Ingleside, Texas; and several nieces and nephews, and countless students, coaches, teachers and friends. Rick was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation was held Sunday, July 8, 2007. Funeral services were held Monday, July 9, 2007 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home Chapel. Glenn McDonald officiated.
Interment followed at Prairie View Cemetery.
