Gracie Hopper, 96, died May 10, 2016 in Borger. There are no services scheduled at this time. Burial was under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Gracie was born March 12, 1920 in Springhill, LA to Rufus Charles and Zelie Newton. She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church of Fritch and had been a resident since 1963.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Elmer, her son William Randall "Randy" Newton, her two brothers Charles and Earnest Newton and her two sisters Myrtle Holtzclaw and Lillian Newton.
Gracie is survived by her daughter in law Mary Hopper of Casper, Wyoming.
The family requests memorials to the Borger Veterinary Clinics in honor of Gracie.
