BORGER - C.E. House, 100, died Friday, March 25, 2005, in Amarillo.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in First Baptist Church with Bob Thomas, chaplain of Odyssey Hospice, officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors.
Mr. House was born Nov. 25, 1904, in Indian Territory, Okla. He was the former owner of C.E. House Insurance Co., starting out as a door-to-door life insurance salesman.
Survivors include a daughter, Jo Evelyn McNeil of Houston; two brothers, Clelly House of Clovis, N.M., and Oscar House of Amarillo; a sister, Cordy Davis of Arizona; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

*Obituary for Myrtle
Mrs. Myrtle Estes House, 79, of 1518 Hector, Borger, died Sunday evening at her home.
A housewife, she was a native of Ryan, Okla., and a Borger resident for 55 years.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, order of Eastern Star of Artesia, N.,M., Women's Division of the Chamber of Commerce and Twentieth Century Club.
Survivors include her husband, C.E. House, of the home; one daughter, Jo Evelyn Hawkins, Houston; one sister, Minnie Lansdon, Uba City, Calif.; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded [sic] in death by her daughter, Mrs. Bernice Barger in 1970.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church with Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor of Bible Baptist Church officiating.
Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the National Alzheimer and Related Disease Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
