Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Wood Street Baptist Church for B.W. (Bud) Hunter, 84, who died Wednesday, Nov. 29,2000, in a local hospital. The Rev. Floyd Chenault will officiate. Interment will be in Wilbarger Memorial Park under direction of Sullivan Funeral Home. Hunter was born Feb. 23, 1916, in Jacksonville, Texas, a son of the
late Tom and Lula Miller Hunter. He married Queen Esther Johnson on Nov. 23, 1940, in Vernon, and she preceded him in death on Dec. 31, 1993. A resident of the Fargo community since 1939, he was a farmer with the Houston Belew family for 25 years, then served for 13 years as a custodian at Vernon Intermediate School. He was a member of Wood
Street Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons, Bobbie Hunter and Robert Hunter, both of
Dallas; three daughters, Esther Gates of Aurora, Colo., Betty Goss of Vernon and Shirley Hunter of Dallas; six grandchildren and two great- grand children.
