BORGER - John Jarrett, 85, died Sunday, March 11, 2001, in Amarillo.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Brown Funeral Directors, Chapel of the Fountains. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery.

Mr. Jarrett, a native of Jefferson, had lived in Borger 40 years. He retired as gardener from Frank Phillips College.

Survivors include three sons, Ernest Jarrett of Borger, Benny Jarrett of Bartlesville, Okla., and Johnny Jarrett of San Diego, Calif.; three brothers, Berthran Jarrett and Willie James Jarrett, both of Jefferson and Nathaniel Jarrett of San Diego; five sisters, Bertha Parker, Carrie Mae Jarrett, Doris Jarrett, Eva Jefferson and Elizabeth McCoy, all of Jefferson; three stepsisters, Helen Bates of Sacramento, Calif., Gladys Booker of Kaufman and Imogene Moore of Tracy, Calif.; a stepbrother, Clyde Reliford of Los Angeles; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
