Obituary
Robert C. Johnston, 64, died Friday Jan. 4, 2002 at Crown of Texas Hospice in Amarillo.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today at Abundant Life Fellowship with Rev. Vince Inman, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Westlawn Cemetery with arrangements entrusted to Brown Funeral Directors.
Mr. Johnston was born March 13, 1937 and was a native of Borger. He was a lineman and repair tech for Southwestern Bell Telephone. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Abundant Life Fellowship. He married Gloria Ballard on Jan. 25, 1973, in Borger.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria; two sons, Clifton Ray Johnston of Leavenworth, Kan., and Tuxie Ballard of Borger; four daughters, Debbie Ray and Bobbi Chowins, both of Borger, Jana Parrish of Dalhart, and Regina Reynolds of Pittsburg, Texas; one sister, Frances Hefner of Stinnett; and 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Casketbearers were Clifton Johnston, James Ray, Jerrod Ray, James Pesch, Mike Chowins, Jeff Parrish, Larry Wirth, Victor Escobar, Richard Kent and Tuxie Ballard.
