Floyd Jones, 72, of Borger, died Monday, June 22, at the North Plains Care Center in Borger.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Fred Kelm, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the Garden of Serenity at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mr. Jones was born in Amarillo and had been a Borger Resident for 46 years, having moved here from Dalhart. He married Murrel D. Sessums on July 26, 1955, in Clayton, N.M. He was a Presbyterian and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He served in the SeaBees in World War II. in [sic] He was owner of the F&M Company, an airplane parts manufacturing company.

He was preceded in death by one son, Randall Thomas Jones in 1973.

Survivors include his wife, Murrel of the home; two step-sons, Danny N. Sessums of Port Arthur and Ronald H. Sessums of Irving; one daughter, Jana F. Knoll of Borger; one step-daughter, Karen Thompson of Borger and two grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Hospice of the Panhandle.
