Obituary for H. Kenneth
H. Kenneth Jones, 78, Borger, died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1993 in his home.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Andrew United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jon Nichols, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery by Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Directors.

A native of Blair, Okla., he had been a Borger resident for 50 years. He was a retired control chemist with Phillips Rice Plant.

He was a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church, Adobe Walls Masonic Lodge No. 1355, Khiva Shrine Temple in Amarillo, 33rd Degree IGH of El Paso, Scottish Rite Bodies, York Rites Bodies of Borger.

He married Maxine McNeilly Sept. 1, 1943 in Bartlesville, Okla.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Jay Kenneth and Jerry Lynn Jones; and a daughter, Janie Jones.

Survivors include his wife of the home; a sister, Doris J. Adams of Thornton, Pa.; a stepsister, Blanche Cherry of Oklahoma City, Okla. a grandson; several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to St. Andrew United Methodist Church, Scottish Rite, Shrine Hospital or charity of choice.

Obituary for Maxine
BORGER - Maxine McNeilly Jones, 89, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, in Amarillo.

Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in St. Andrew United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ted Wilson, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mrs. Jones was born Feb. 10, 1918, in Oklahoma City. She worked for Phillips Petroleum Co., retiring as a land man on April 1, 1984. Her family moved to Bartlesville, Okla., in 1925, where she received her formal education, graduating from Dewey High School in 1935. She attended Phillips University. She married H. Kenneth Jones on Sept. 1, 1943, and moved to Borger.

Maxine was a member of Phillips Methodist Church and charter member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church when it was formed. She served on various committees in both churches. She served as pianist, organist and as a choir member for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, H. Kenneth Jones; two sons, Jay Kenneth Jones in 1977, and Jerry Lynn Jones in 1969; a daughter, Roberta Jane Jones in 1973; a grandson, James Allen Jones; her parents, William and Pawnee McNeilly; two sisters; and a brother-in-law, John Myers.

Survivors include; three nephews; a niece; a great-niece; and a great-nephew.

Pall bearers will be David McGowan, Chief Fagen, Eddie Webb, Wayne Kueffler, Ross Wellesley and Mike Webb.

The family suggests memorials be to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 2929 Carlisle St., Dallas TX 75204, or St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 100 Amaryllis St., Borger, TX 79007.
