Obituary for J. T.
J.T. Jordan, 80, Christian Lease, southwest of Borger, died Saturday evening in the Bass Baptist Hospital at Enid, Okla.

A retired operator at J.M. Huber Carbon Black Plant, he was a native of Childress County, Texas and a Borger resident for 47 years.

He was a member of the Fairlanes Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Iowa; one son, James of Spokane, Wash.; one daughter, Betty Squyres of Enid, Okla.; one sister, Louise Bearden of Childress; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

J.T. Jordan and Iowa Rogers were married January 21, 1928 at Childress County.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains with Rev. Art McAninch, pastor, Fairlanes Baptist Church officiating.

Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Home.

Obituary for Iowa
BORGER - Iowa Jordan, 88, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1999.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Brown Funeral Directors Chapel of the Fountains with the Rev. Scott Rankin of Fairlanes Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Jordan was born in Penelope and had been a Borger resident for 58 years. She was a housewife and a member of Fairlanes Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.T. Jordan, in 1988.

Survivors include a son, James Jordan of Spokane, Wash.; a daughter, Betty Jane Squyres of Garfield, Ark.; a brother, Marvin Rogers of Duluth, Ga.; two sisters, Madge Ray of Corsicana and Linnie McNanus of Tehuacana; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
