A marriage of unusual interest was solemnized at Tulsa July 26, when Miss Iola Bond, accomplished daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joy Bond, of Tulsa, and granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bond of Butler, was wedded to Mr. John Lafoon(sic). The bride's parents formerly resided in Butler, the young lady attended the local schools and is well known in this city and community. The society columns of The Tulsa Tribune contained the following account of the wedding.

The wedding of Miss Iola Bond, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joy C. Bond of 631 East Zion street, and Mr. John Lafoon(sic) of Tulsa, was celebrated quite simply on Friday evening at 9 o'clock in the home of the bride's parents.

The Rev. Mr. W. O. Anderson, pastor of the First Baptist church, read the ceremony, for which about 50 quests were in attendance.

Decorations of Ophelia rosebuds in the tints of pink and foliage adorned the rooms of the home. The bride wore a wedding gown of flesh chiffon made with full shirt and eneven(sic) hemline over a rose satin foundation. She carried a shower bouquet of yellow roses and lilies of the valley.

Mr. and Mrs. Lafoon will reside with the bride's parents until after September 1. The bride, who is an accomplished pianist, graduated from the Tulsa College of Music last week.

Out of town guests in attendance at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Gerald McCullough of Bartlesville, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bond of Butler, Okla., the uncle and grandparents of the bride.
