*Obituary
Myrtle King, 87, died Sunday, November 16, 2008 in Borger.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Grace Fellowship Church with Rev. Willie Thrash, Pastor of New Zion Baptist Church officiating and Rev. L. K. Jones of Austin doing the eulogy. Interment will be in "Evergreen Garden" at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mrs. King was born on May 21, 1921 in Austin. She was a homemaker and married Leroy Burse in 1938. He preceded her in death. She married Daniel King in 1949 and he preceded her in death in 2002. She was also preceded in death by four sons - Leroy Burse, Jr., Jimmy Lee Burse, Robert Lee King, and Harold Ray King; two sisters - Lillian Dallas and Norris Darby, four brothers - Wilke, Chester, Eric, and John C., four granddaughters - Phyllis Jackson, Rochon Loftis, Taneica Meek and Tanesha King, four grandsons - Elmer Jackson, Jr., Donavan King, Reginald Burse, Jr., and Jemaih King.
She is survived by three sons - Danny James Burse of Borger, Charles Raymond Burse of Austin, and Donald Wayne King of Borger, five daughters - Ethel Burse Jackson, Delana Kaye King, Carolyn Burse, Marion Faye Cunningham and Wanda Lynn King Salinas all of Borger, brother - Smith Overton, Jr. of Austin, sister - Alice Overton of Austin, fifty grandchildren, eight-three great-grandchildren, thirty great-great grandchildren and two special daughters - Rose Pollard and Audrey Walker.
Casket bearers will be Robert Bradley, Alvin Ferguson, Charles Bradley, Marvin Dickson, Andrew Williams and Jack Bradley. Honorary bearers will be Lee Andrew Tasby, Robert Tasby, Harvey Lee Ward and James Smith.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3915 Bell St., Amarillo, Texas 79109.
