Obituary
Graveside services for Simon Salinas, age 79 of Seminole will be held Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Gaines County Cemetery with Father Jose De Dios Gonzalez officiating. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.

Mr. Salinas was born February 21, 1942 in Karnes City to Santiaga (Ortiz) and Fedencio Salinas. He was a Catholic and worked with water well services. In his younger years he loved driving different Mexican bands around to their concerts, and enjoyed helping and being around people; he also enjoyed the outdoors.

Simon Salinas passed away at Memorial Health Care Center in Seminole on February 21, 2021.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, and five brothers.

He is survived by four sons, Simon Salinas, Jr. of Ft. Worth, Simon Domingo Salinas of Abernathy, Michael Salinas and wife Kacee, and Tommy Salinas, both of Seminole; two daughters, Diana Flores and husband Erasmus, and Rosemary Flores and husband Ralph, both of Ft. Worth; one brother, Armando Salinas of Seminole; five sisters, Herminnie Garza and husband Daniel of Floresville, Mary Almager of Midland, Gloria Calderon of Floresville, Juanita Davila and husband David, and Erima Ramirez and husband Arcenio, both of Seminole; 19 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
