Betty Jo Lester, 71, died Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003, in Borger.
Services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Minton Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bob Thomas, chaplain of Crown of Texas Hospice, officiating. Interment was in the "Garden of Serenity" at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mrs. Lester was born on June 16, 1931, in Miami and had been a Borger resident since 1948. She was a homemaker and beautician and was a member of the First Christian Church of Miami. She married Harold Lester on Feb. 24, 1947, in Mobeetie.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Survivors include her husband, Harold Lester, of the home; two sons, Edgar D. Lester and wife, Janis, of Cypress, and Barry Lester and wife, Ranell, of Cleveland, Okla.; a daughter, Donna Drake and husband, Stan, of Borger; a brother, Leo Graham of Amarillo; a sister, Marie McCook of Beaumont; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Crown of Texas Hospice, 1000 S. Jefferson, Amarillo, TX 79101.
Casket bearers were Kimberly Trojanowsky, Brian Lester, Trea Drake, Damon Lester, Wesley Drake and Devin Lester.
