*Obituary for James
James William "Dutch" Luman, 89, of 431 Whittenburg, an area resident for 46 years died today.
Services are pending with Minton Mortuary.
Mr. Luman was born Sept. 14, 1888 in Young County. Known to many as a cattle rancher and wolf hunter, he had been a Texas Ranger for 38 years and a field inspector for Southwest Cattle Association. During this time he served a five-state area and was referred to as the Sherlock Holmes of the Old West in an historical publication.
Survivors include his wife, Ola Faye; one daughter, Mrs. Edith Schmidt of Red Bluff, Calif.; four sons, Bill of Red Bluff, Calif., Gordon Dell and Calvin Jeff both of Fritch, and J.W. of Denton; three sisters, Mrs. Lela Kennedy of Post, Mrs. Mattie McNeill of Alpine, and Mrs. Irene Hart of Hemet, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services have been set for Mrs. Ola Faye Luman, 66, for 2 p.m. Monday at the First Assembly of God Church.
Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton's Mortuary. The Rev. H.C. Eslinger, pastor, will officiate.
Mrs. Luman died Thursday at a San Antonio hospital. She had lived in Borger for 46 years.
She was born Sept. 11, 1911 in Kaufman.
Mrs. Luman was a member of the First Assembly of God Church.
Surviving are three sons, Gordon and Calvin of Fritch and J.W. of Denton; a brother, O.C. Finchum of McAlister, Okla.; two sisters, Mrs. Eva Mae Merit of Austin and Mrs. Margret Craft of Lewisville; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
