Funeral services for Rowe L. Hartson, 80, of 4727 Ave. S in Galveston, will be 2 p.m. today at Moody Memorial First United Methodist Church, the Rev. Chester Steele officiating.

Burial will follow at Grace Memorial Park in Alta Loma under direction of J. Levy & Bro. Funeral
Home.

Mr. Hartson, born March 12, 1897, died 9:20 a.m. Sunday at St. Mary's Hospital in Galveston after a lengthy illness.

A f t e r coming to Galveston in 1927, Mr. Hartson was employed by American National Insurance
Co. and later the American Oil Co. He retired in 1961. A veteran of World Wars I and II, Mr. Hartson was a Mason for more than 50 years and a member of Moody Memorial First United
Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian Sweeney Hartson of Galveston; three brothers, Daniel J. Hartson of .Galveston, Howard S. Hartson of Galveston and Hill L. Hartson of Houston; one sister, Mrs. Effye Cornelius of Galveston ; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Ben Windle, Chester Gobert, Frank Nesmith, Wil Blake, Lee Paschetag and Gerold Bartosh. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the King's Class and the Methodist Men's Club of Moody Memorial First Methodist Church.

Visitors may call after 8 a.m. today.

Memorials may be sent to the Moody Memorial Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
