Hico Cemetery
Hamilton County,
Texas

This city cemetery is located on the east side of Hico. The front has a low stone wall fence with large stone columns, but there is no visible signage. There is a flagpole and lots of trees, iris plants, and crepe myrtle bushes. The property is clean and every block is labeled with a metal sign which makes looking for a grave much easier. Curbing (around plots) is in almost every section of the cemetery. There are many large older headstones and one antique fence surrounding a family plot. The back fence and most of the side fencing is made of concrete posts with horizontal pipes. Toward the back is a simple rock building that appears to be for storage. This very large cemetery appears to be almost to capacity on burials. There are benches for visitors to use at their leisure to enjoy this lovely cemetery. In 2020 there were 3993 documented burials in this cemetery.
