WILLIAM ROBERT "BOBBY" HOOPS., 51, of Alvin passed away on December 12, 2009. Bobby was born on November 11, 1958 in Texas City to parents, William Robert Hoops, Sr. and Gloria Gallo Hoops. He was a lifetime resident of Alvin and was of the Catholic faith. Bobby enjoyed many outdoor activities including barbecuing, fishing and camping. He also spent much time in his garage/workshop whether it was wood working or cars. He was a master of all trades. He married Grace Filer on June 1, 1966 in Pearland. He is preceded in death by his aunt, Nancy Schabowsky.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Grace Hoops; children: Colbey Hoops and Ashley Filer and fiancé Richard Clarac; mother, Gloria Hoops, all of Alvin; father, William Hoops, Sr. and wife Betty of Missouri; sister, Lynda Brooks and husband Clifford of Stafford; brother-in-law James Filer, Jr. and wife Tiffanee; brother-in-law Chad Filer and wife Laura; granddaughter Matty Filer; nieces and nephews Hillarey, Hailey, Rhett, Tatum, Katelynn, Cody, Cory Brooks and wife Kaylie; cousins: Jo Ann, Jim, Steven and Nanzy Pacheco and numerous other family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday December 16, 2009 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Froberg Funeral Home at Oak Park Chapel.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Froberg Funeral Home at Oak Park Chapel.
