RUTH CELESTE CASTLE, age 89 of Alvin, Texas went to be with the Lord Saturday, May 29, 2010 in Pearland, Texas. Ruth was born on August 9, 1920 in Winniewood, Oklahoma and was a longtime resident of Alvin. She had been a Sales Clerk for Wellborns Department Store for several decades before her retirement. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of forty-two years, Hugh Castle, parents, William and Missouri Lee Losson, grandson, Peter Lawley, 4 sisters and 2 brothers.

Ruth is survived by her children, Cynthia Lawley of North Carolina, Ronda Rezek and husband John of Alvin, Texas, Wayne Castle and wife Della of Liverpool, Texas, Tira Schulz and husband Tommy of Alvin, Texas; 10 grandchildren: Ron Dinning, Charles Lawley, Sharon Lightfoot, Donnell Arles, Rick Rezek, Stephanie Sutton, Jeff Castle, Kristen Blagg, Roger Sappington and Lindsey Hinson; 23 great-grandchildren, numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:30 P. M. to 7:30 P. M. Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Scott Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Scott Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger Sappington officiating. Interment to follow in the Confederate Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of the Scott Family, 1421 East Hwy. 6, Alvin, Texas.
