OBITUARY FROM THE BAYTOWN SUN:
Rites Held In Dayton For Mont Belvieu Resident
MONT BELVIEU -- Reuben Hollis Stubbs, 73, of Mont Belvieu died at 6 a.m. Thursday at home. He was a retired oil field worker for McDaniel Bros.
Born at Old River, he was a life time resident of the Mont Belvieu area.
A World War I veteran, he was a member of Mont Belvieu Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Minnie Stubbs of Mont Belvieu; two stepsons, Albert McClung of Mont Belvieu and Lewis G. McClung of Alta Loma; three sisters, Mrs. Ollie Gresham of Wallisville, Mrs. Ruth Young of Baytown, and Mrs. Alva Robinson of Dayton. Also surviving are two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Sterling Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton with I.M. Jones, pastor of the Mont Belvieu Church of Christ officiating. Interment was in Grace Memorial Park Cemetery in Alta Loma.
Pallbearers were H. G. Adams, A. P. Dutton, D. E. Williams, L. A. McClung, C. W. Kennedy and Reuben Shires.

Note;

Reuben was the son of George Washington Stubbs and Eva D. Brashear. Reuben first married Ruby Eva Burns on June 30, 1920, and then to Minnie Cleveland McClung on Feb. 2, 1934.
