*Obituary
Lena Faye Mitchell, 64, died Thursday, July 15, in Borger.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Bible Baptist Church with the Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in The Garden of Love at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mrs. Mitchell was born in Hollis, Okla. and had been a Borger resident for 54 years. She married J.M. Mitchell on Oct. 25, 1953, in Borger.
She retired from J.M. Huber as a secretary in 1989. She was a volunteer at Golden Plains Community Hospital. She was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her father, Calvin E. Cannon, in 1989, and a brother, Willie Cannon, in 1997.
Survivors include her husband, J.M. Mitchell of the home; two sons and their wives, Randy J. and Patsy Mitchell of Odessa and Vic W. and Becky Mitchell of Fritch; one daughter and her husband, Sharon D. and Ken Ingram of Borger; her mother, Fern E. Cannon of Borger; one brother, Calvin Cannon of Borger; two sisters, Sue Chambers and Patricia Aker, both of Borger, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorial may be made to American Cancer Society or Crown of Texas Hospice, 1000 S. Jefferson, Amarillo 79101.
Casket bearers will be Kendyl Ingram, Scott Mitchell, Garrett Mitchell, Gerald James Mitchell, Dean Chambers and Eric Huddleston.
She will be missed.
