Will was born Nov 12,1935 in Snyder ,to G. W and Alpha Jean Squyres Pylant. He married Bobby Newell on June 7, 1958 in Anton. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He graduated from Wayland Baptist Collage in 1958 with education degree and earned his Masters degree in education from Southwest Oklahoma State University at Weatherford .He taught school and served in the administrative capacity for 39 years ,including Anton,Cotton Center, Littlefield and the past 23 years at Whitharral.He was active in several professional educators organizations ,and the Boys Scouts of America . He was interested in history and science .
He was a member and a deacon of the First Baptist Church in Anton
Surviving are his wife :Bobby Pylant of Anton ;a son Clark Pylant and wife Traci of Amarillo ;and a grandson Gunnar Pylant of Amarillo ;a brother Hoyt Pylant of Snyder ;extened family and friends
