LEONARD LEO LANDRIAULT, passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 13, 2010 at Gazebo Terrace Convalescent Home in Brenham, TX, he was 88 years old. He was born on March 10, 1922 in San Francisco, California to Joseph David and Rachael Mayes Landriault. He served in World War II in the naval forces in the South Pacific Islands, where he received the Purple Heart. After the war he lived in Dunsmuir, California were he met his wife Jean and were wed in Redding, California on April 23, 1946. Several years later they moved to Texas. Soon after he went to work for Union Carbide in the carpentry field and retired after 27 years. Family was always an important part of his life. There were always birthday gathering with his brothers and sisters and their children in League City. Later on there was the Landriault family reunion each year. He retired to Brenham, Texas about 1990 and lived out the remained of his life farming, raising cattle, hunting and fishing. He worked hard and long all his life. Leo is survived by his wife of 63 years Jean Landriault; son Leonard Steven

Landriault and wife Judy; daughter Debra Jean Gavlik and husband George; sisters Luciel Burris and Opal Schflett; brother Jack Landriault and wife Naome; grandchildren Leigh, Larry, Christopher, and Nicholas and great grandchildren Alexander, Michael and Kara. He is preceded in death by his brothers Arthur, Dick, Clifford and Ray Landriault. He was very proud of his son Steven graduating in 1971 from Texas A & M University as a Mechanical Engineer; his grandsons Leigh graduating from Sam Houston University to become a Master Peace Officer, patrolman servicing Conroe, TX 14 yrs to date; Larry volunteering with the Jersey Village Fire Department from 1994-2001 entering the Houston Fire Department in 2001 to his current rank of Captain; and Christopher graduating from University Technical Institute as a Mechanic in 2008. Visitation will be Friday, June 18, 2010 between 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 19, 2010 in the Chapel of the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock, Texas.
