Funeral services for Mamie Flatt, 89, of Levelland will be at 4:30 pm, Monday, September 20, 2010 at George Price Funeral Chapel, Levelland with Jay Kelley, Minister of Austin Street Church of Christ, Levelland. Burial will be in City of Levelland Cemetery under direction of George Price Funeral Home, Levelland. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Sunday, September 19, 2010 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM She died Friday, September 17, 2010 in Levelland.

She was born on July 26, 1921 in Plainview, Texas to Edd and Mary Emmaline Johnson Calhoun. She attended High School in Lubbock and Odessa where she played volleyball and was on the State Championship team in Odessa.

She moved to Levelland in 1948 from Seagraves. Mamie worked in food service for Levelland Schools and South Plains College. She was a member of Austin Street Church of Christ.

Survivors include her sons: Bobby Flatt of Levelland and Eddie Flatt of Lubbock; her daughters: Sandra Kay Rodgers of Levelland, Carolyn Goodpasture of Odessa, and Linda Branch of Coleman; twelve grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Branch, Malissa Redden, Cody Redden, Lance Pollard, Brandon Comer, and Jeff Barker.
