Final rites for Borger pioneer resident Axel Olson will be held in Trinity Lutheran Church Monday at 2 p.m. Rev. H.F. Peiman, pastor, will officiate.
Olson, 72, died Thursday afternoon in North Plains Hospital. He came to Borger in 1926 and was a carpenter until retirement.
Survivors include the widow of the home, 605 Coble; two sons, Francis of Borger and Lloyd of Brawley, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Christina Pierson of Djura, Sweden, and four grandchildren.
Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Funeral Home.

Sarah E. Olson, 92, 605 Coble, died Sunday in her home.
A homemaker, she was a native of Hay Springs, Neb. and a Borger resident since 1926.
She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.
She is survived by two sons, Francis Olson of Borger, Lloyd Olson of California; one brother, Norman Lee Dotson of Colorado; three sisters, Iona Blair of Hay Springs, Neb., Marion Allen of Hay Springs, Neb., Wilma Dotson of California; five grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Minton Memorial Chapel.
Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors.
