Gilbert Oren Bidwell of Arlington passed away Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011. Funeral: 9:30 a.m. Friday in Moore Funeral Home Chapel on North Davis. Interment: Parker Cemetery in Grapevine. Gilbert served his country in the U.S. Navy in World War II. He spent two years in the Pacific on LST-979 and five years in the Navy Reserve. He worked 35 years for Bell Helicopter as an electrical technician, fitting Cobra helicopter wiring harnesses. He will be greatly missed.
Survivors: Wife, Norma Bidwell of Arlington; sons, Michael Killam of Fort Worth and Steven Killam of San Angelo; daughter, Sara Stephens of Mansfield; nephews, Johnny Moses and Gary Bidwell; a niece, Janise DeLisle; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
