Farris Keller, 90, of Levelland passed from this life on Saturday, July 7, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, July 9, 2018, at Second Baptist Church. Visitation will take place at 10:00 am prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at the City of Levelland Cemetery.
He was born June 23, 1928 to Roy Lane and Mary Elizabeth (Martin) Keller in a half dugout in Cobleland Community near Whiteface. Farris farmed for many years in Hockley and Cochran County.
Farris drove the activity bus for LISD and made many snow cones from the Jolly Trolley. He and his wife, Jerry, worked many years at South Plains College as dorm parents. Farris was a charter member of Second Baptist Church and served as a Deacon.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Jerry; parents, Roy and Beth Keller; sisters, Charlene Bentley and Micki Smith; and son-in-law, Pershal Phillips.
Farris is survived by his daughters, Barbara and husband Carlin Curl of Levelland, and Vicki Phillips of Seminole; son, Johnny Keller of Levelland; grandchildren, Tim Curl, Terry (Andrea) Curl, Troy (Janie) Curl, all of Lubbock, Natalie (Scott) Gray of San Antonio, Nathan (Lisa) Redman of Schulenburg, Lauren (Daron) Corbin and Lance (Amber) Keller of Levelland; and great grandchildren, Bailee, Colby and Carson Curl, Emily and Ryan Gray, Brant and Barett Redman, Shelby and Kylie Corbin, Blake, Ashton, Dylan, Bella, and Kaleb Keller.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Second Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1286, Levelland, Texas 79336.
