SANTA FE - Mrs. Dorothy Lee Konzack Fraser passed from this life Thursday afternoon, August 12, 2004, in Webster.

Born July 8, 1919, in Alta Loma to Fred and Lucile Konzack, Mrs. Fraser was a graduate of Santa Fe High School and a lifelong resident of Santa Fe. She was a homemaker and had been a member of St John's Lutheran Church (later Abiding Savior) and in her later years became a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She taught Sunday school at St. John's Lutheran and had been president of Women of the Church. Mrs. Fraser was a life member of the P. T. A., serving as president of both Santa Fe Elementary and High School P. T. A. and as room mother for many years. She was past president of the V. F. W. Post #5400 Ladies Auxiliary, member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #3789, president of Santa Fe Senior Citizens at Runge Park and was president during the move to the Thelma Webber Community Center. She volunteered as a Pink Lady at County Hospital and worked with the Santa Fe Little League.

Mrs. Fraser is survived by her daughter, Bobbie June Zaro and husband, Darrell "Bubba"; son, Thomas G. Fraser; brother, Herman Konzack and wife, Ruth; sisters, Viola Miller and Emma Gene Kotz; aunt, Viola Abbott (104 years old); 5 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 17, 2004, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Reverend John Kappe officiating. Interment will follow at Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be Jim Burts, Thomas H. Fraser, Fred Miller, Jim Miller and David Peterson.

Friends may call after 5 p.m., Monday at the funeral home, 10412 Highway 6, (409) 925-3501 with a vigil service beginning at 7 p.m., Sister Mary Anne Hollmann officiating.

Those who wish may make memorials in the form of donations to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 10114 Hwy 6 Hitchcock, Texas 77563, or the charity of their choice.
