GALVESTON - Frances Funke, 91, of Galveston, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2001, at Laurel House Care'Center in La Marque. Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Saturday, June 9, 2001, at St. Paul's Lutheran
Church with the Rev. Lewis Groce officiating. Burial will
follow the service at Grace Memorial Park in Hitchcock Ms. Funke will lay in state at the church from Noon until
service time on Saturday. The family will receive visitors after 5 p.m., Friday, June 8, 2001, at Malloy &
Son Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held at 6 p.m.
Frances was brn March 11,1910, in Galveston, Texas. She was a charter member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and a member of the Bethany Circle.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Funke Jr.
Frances is survived by her two sons, Wayne Funke and wife, Belva, of La Marque, Texas; and Carl Funke, of Phoenix, Arizona; seven grandchildren: Cheri Funke, Debbie Funke, Carla Funke, Peggy Lynn Hess, Pam Davis, Cynthia Sifuentes, and Kevin Funke; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.-•
Pallbearers will be Bruce Ware, Willis Yancey, Frank Sifuentes, Stephen Schuenke, Ricky Davis, and Kevin Funke.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials
be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 4720 Avenue O A Galveston, Texas 77551.
