Funeral services for Archie O. Norman, 86, Levelland, Texas will be 10 a.m., Saturday, July 7, 2007 in George Price Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Merle Fulmer, pastor, Lakeridge Baptist Church, Lubbock, officiating. Burial will be in City of Levelland Cemetery under direction of George Price Funeral Home.
He died Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at Presbyterian Hospital, Allen, Texas.
Born on Aug. 11, 1920 in Pilot Point, Texas, he was a longtime Levelland resident. He moved to Odessa in 1997 and then to Allen in 2001. He was a rural mail carrier for Levelland from 1951 until 1983 when he retired. He was a US Army veteran. He attended the Downtown Menís Bible Class for many years and Fifth Street Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Jackie Norman of Rio Vista, California and Doug Norman of Allen, Texas; a brother, George Wayne Norman of Ft. Worth; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild.
